Phonebase is a control plane that gives an agent one interface to a real device. The same tool calls reach an emulator, a cloud Android device, real Android hardware, and a real iPhone driven by a mechanical actuator. When a task needs different hardware, the device you name changes and your code does not. Every run comes back as evidence. Actions report when the device committed them, observations are bound to the frame you decided on, and a retry that reuses its key replays the recorded outcome instead of pressing the glass twice.

Start here

Open the console

Make an account and an organization, then mint the key every page below assumes you already have. Start here if you have never signed in.

Chat with your phone

Say what the phone should do and watch it happen, without writing a client first.

Quickstart

Paste a config, run a session, read the trace. Three steps.

MCP config

The exact config block for each transport.

First session

Acquire, observe, act, release, one call at a time.

Reading a trace

What the control plane hands back, and how to confirm it later.

Go deeper

MCP surface

The tool surface an agent drives, and the contract that keeps it stable.

Device tiers

How input reaches a device, and what that costs you in fidelity.

Agent tier

Hand a goal to a worker instead of driving each step yourself.

CLI

The same control plane from a terminal.

Security and tenancy

Where the org boundary runs, and who enforces it.

Billing and metering

What is counted, and what is deliberately not.

Reading this site as an agent

This site publishes machine readable entry points, and a docs MCP server that is separate from the one that drives devices. See For agents before you connect either.
The hosted MCP endpoint at https://mcp.phonebase.co/mcp is live, and it is reached with an API key rather than an interactive sign in. Where a page describes something you cannot reach yet, it says so, and What is not live yet keeps the list. Rates and the current fleet live on phonebase.co.
