# Phonebase docs

> The mobile execution layer for AI agents.

Phonebase is a control plane that gives an agent one interface to a real
device. The same tool calls reach an emulator, a cloud Android device, real
Android hardware, and a real iPhone driven by a mechanical actuator. When a
task needs different hardware, the device you name changes and your code does
not.

Every run comes back as evidence. Actions report when the device committed
them, observations are bound to the frame you decided on, and a retry that
reuses its key replays the recorded outcome instead of pressing the glass
twice.

## Reading this site as an agent

This site publishes machine readable entry points, and a docs MCP server that
is separate from the one that drives devices. See
[For agents](/getting-started/for-agents) before you connect either.

<Note>
The hosted MCP endpoint at `https://mcp.phonebase.co/mcp` is live, and it is
reached with an API key rather than an interactive sign in. Where a page
describes something you cannot reach yet, it says so, and
[What is not live yet](/help/overview#what-is-not-live-yet) keeps the list.
Rates and the current fleet live on [phonebase.co](https://phonebase.co).
